Dhanush is a brand by himself today. The actor-producer, who won many awards and accolades is at it again. After a mediocre outing in Maari now comes Thanga Magan.

Directed by cinematographer Velraj of Velai Illa Pattathari fame, Thanga Magan is a splendid show with enough to woo audience. It has everything to appease youngsters and also woo family audience.

Dhanush is at his best. He does a splendid show. He is the pivot around  whom the whole movie revolves. His diction and dedication to excel is visible in every frame. With a greater opportunity to perform two varied dimension in the film, Dhanush does a super act.

Giving him equal company are Amy Jackson and Samantha. They have a part to play in the pre interval and post interval sequences of Thanga Magan.K S Ravikumar as father of Dhanush steals the show.

He is cool and casual in his approach. And add to it the experience of Radhika Sarath Kumar.Comedy department is well-handled by Sathish.Thamizh (Dhanush) is a fun-loving youngster.

He falls for  Amy Jackson (Sandy), an Anglo Indian girl. Interestingly all goes well between untill the caste and status difference. They get estranged. Events take a turn and Thamizh gets a new life in the form of Yamuna (Samantha). There begins new things in his life.

Meanwhile there is father-son bonding in the film.Kumaran's camera deserves a mention while racy script by Velraj speaks volumes.

All said, Thanga Magan is a gem from Dhanush again.

Thanga Magan - Dhanush at his best
