The expectation and hype is high when it comes to Ajith. Expectation always run sky-high among his fans. The filmmaker who is handling Ajith needs to be doubly careful in giving audience what they want.

The star in Ajith demands more.Understanding this well, Siruthai Siva begins from where he left in Veeram. Vedalam from the duo is mass masala fare that is bigger than Veeram. It has action, drama, emotion and humour at right mix. Siruthai Siva has spiced it up with enough ingredients to suit his fans.

Punchlines that boasts of Ajith get enough applause from masses. The director seems to know the strengths of Ajith and woven script around it. More than the do-gooder and innocent Ajith, it is the baddie Vedalam Ajith who wins our hearts.

The role is seemingly an extension of what he did in Mankatha. With the likes of sruthi Haasan, Lakshmi menon, Thambi Ramiah, Soori, Kovai Sarala among others, there is loads of entertainments too.The scenes involving Vedalam are a real hit among audience.

The movie is about Ganesh (Ajith) who comes to Kolkata with his sister Tamizh (Lakshmi Menon). He leads a happy peaceful life untill all hell breaks loose with Ganesh committing series of murders including that of brothers of two international drug mafia don Rahul (Rahul Dev).

A flashback reveals that Ganesh was Vedalam and that lakshmi Menon is not his original sister. Wonder why and what? The rest of the film throws light on Vedalam aka Ganesh waging a battle to save his sister and end the drug cartel.

Ajith is the flesh and blood of the movie. He walks with applause and engages audience to their watch. The movie has pulsating moments written to suit ajith's image and he does pull it off well.

At places on is reminded of Baashe but all said Ajith's super show takes the cake. Sruthi has limited scope so are the erst.Interestingly Lakshmi Menon shares a good bond with Ajith.,

All is well in the movie that could have been made more crisper of one avoided cliched.
